central park west

There have been way too many things going on this past week for me to have time for taking outfit photos, so I've fallen quite behind. They're all good reasons though, like joining a yoga club, joining a knitting club, editing video and photo jobs, and trying really hard to get Ryan and I out of the apartment more. Sometimes I feel lame for having big gaps without posting, or disappointed with myself for not being consistent and on top of things like posting, but I have to take a step back for my own sanity and evaluate where that should really be on my totem pole. Establishing more relationships with other humans is more important to me right now, trying to have real friendships is more important, concentrating on taking more care of my body is more important, and frankly spending hours and hours inside on the computer is getting old. I'm always out or busy when the sun is out, so it's been a real challenge squeezing outfit photos at all during the week. I could be better at managing my time and sticking to a schedule, and that is something I'd like to work on, but right now posting every day is just getting to be too much, and I hate feeling like I'm failing so I think I need to just establish, like, bi or tri-weekly posts or something.

So, yeah, this is a filler post. Here are some photos I took in central park on my way to work. They're like a month old, but everything still looks just as dead and drab. I promise.

  2. Sounds like you are really getting involved - how exciting! I would love to become a member of a yoga club and a knitting club. Great photos, too. I think the third is my favorite because the clouds are so beautiful.

  3. Yay for yoga clubs and knitting clubs! I do yoga already but I love to knit and I should probably find a club to join over the summer. Like you said, don't feel bad for taking a step back and doing what is higher on the priority list of life :) I totally feel you on the computer bit. I'm currently stuck in that transition phase where I'm so bored by technology but I need it for everything I do academically so I'm caught between managing my time spent on the computer.

  6. I know what you mean, taking outfit photos on a daily basis is practically impossible, I've decided to make them when I feel like it and when I have time.
    Loving the last picture :))

  9. I k now exactly how you feel; I've been pushing myself lately to be better about scheduling a little time for the blog, but everything else definitely is more important! If only I had some pretty filler pictures like you do! These ones are gorgeous!
Have fun with your new yoga class! I wish my gym had one scheduled when I was there, but they're all during my work hours. Which is lame.

  12. you are so right! There really is more to life than what our computer screen displays! Breaks are much deserved and not be regarded as lame. These are cool double exposure photos!

  14. Well my general philosophy is that real life should take precedence over virtual life, so go you for having more fun things to do! (but I really like the photos...)

  17. Cool photos, I love the double exposure. I remember feeling bad too when I couldn't post on time or as much as I'd have liked, but there are many things more important and sounds like you're getting into some great activities :)

  18. Oh my, these are stunning photos! I love the look of them. I've been feeling similarly about blogging lately too. I think real life priorities are so much more important and should definitely take precedence. The internet will always be here, but people and activities will pass you by if you don't take those opportunities.

  19. Good for you for taking time to take care of yourself. I don't see this as a filler post at all, but rather laying things out for a fresh perspective.

  20. These are pretty! And sounds like you are doing really well - you knit too?!?! I wanna come knit with you. I haven't knit in awhile. And yeah - t gets rough to spend too much time in front of the computer. I usually start failing to to do anything in the summer.

Also. Apparently I haven't been to your blog in forever to comment. Ooops.
