On the way home from the huge buddha we stopped by a lake, rented a swan paddle boat, and found some sakura trees in full bloom. Once we got to the outskirts of town we ate at a little restaurant Ryan used to love when he lived here.

I got raimen- a cold noodle soup with nashi (asian pear) and kimchi. These noodles are notoriously long. Ryan got kara-age, his favourite fried chicken.

With love from Japan,

  3. The swan boats are so cute! My mom is actually obsessed with a swan boat in our old town that you could rent out for parties and stuff. Your asian pear noodles sound awesome too!
