welcome, spring

I shot this photo story last May when the cherry blossoms in Central Park were in full bloom. For some reason I completely forgot about them and they got sort of buried in my backlog for a while. I'm nearly a full year late in posting, but it seems appropriate to share them today on the first day of spring- a nod of things to come and images of hope and beauty that will grace us in about a month or two. Definitely a time to look forward to, and I'm happy with the mood these images evoke. Here's to childhood, imagination, dressing up, building forts, playing in blossoms, and climbing trees barefoot.

  1. These are absolutely stunning! They make me want to be young again and have summer outdoor sleepovers. I'm so ready to lots of forts this summer. www.prettynostalgia.blogspot.co.uk

  3. Arresting photos. They perfectly capture the mood you're going for. This reminds me of Courtney Brooke's work - and she's my favorite photographer, so that's saying something.
