happenings from february

So it's March already. Could've fooled me. I've had an interesting few months, with an extended stay in Utah with family to pick my sister up from the airport for her return from her LDS mission to Florida, and then a return back home after a short three weeks back in New York to attend my grandma's funeral. I've been in Utah for a week now but I didn't even bring my camera. I think I've taken 'outfit photos' about twice since January. I just feel no drive or desire to blog, and haven't much since Christmas. Not sure if this means a big break, a different direction, or actually quitting, but I sometimes just feel obligated to update or fill up space here, and I seem to have lost my mojo for style content.

So these are just some snaps taken while in Utah during February. Just things I was up to and places I visited. These are all from Midway, the quaintest Swiss-settled town in a mountain valley southeast of Salt Lake. My grandparents built a cabin up here years ago and it's been a special family spot my whole life. Winter is the prettiest here I've ever seen, and it helps that it's home to the Ice Castles, which I think are growing in fame every year. I'd move here in a heartbeat given the chance.

  3. Taking a break from blogging is always so refreshing for me; I love doing posts, but sometimes, it just gets to where I feel like I HAVE to post, rather than posting because I want to. So taking a break might be a good idea for you! I hope you don't quit; I always love your posts, they are so beautiful and ethereal. But whatever you decide, do it for your own happiness. :)

  4. I know exactly what you mean - I definitely lost my mojo too! But I'm attempting to have another crack at it now. I adore your photos, so eagerly await when it feels good for you again! xx

  5. I feel you - on a couple of occasions over the past three years I've lost my blogging mojo. It's okay to take a break and wait until you're feeling inspired again (your readers will still stick around!) but please don't quit!

  8. Blogging is really a journey of up and downs, it is difficult to find inspiration when there is that pressure of keeping up publishing posts. I love your pictures, so I selfishly wish to be able to see them regularly :) Any direction you need to take on your blog will be good as long as it makes you happy.
