We walked and biked around Boston all day, visiting historical sites and notable food joints. My favourite was North End, with the Paul Revere House, and its cobblestone streets, old gas laps, and really cool architecture. It didn't even feel like America- I felt like I was in the setting of a Dickens book or something.
We also met up with my dear old friend Kelsey from middle school when I lived in Ohio. She going to grad school here in Boston, so we got to reconnect after years and years! Of course, I somehow blanked on taking any photos of the happy event, but I was too busy catching up and enjoying company.

What We Ate:

We got some great seafood at Faneuil Market- I think it said it was America's first farmer's market. We split a lobster roll, clam chowder, and a 'lobster pie'. I was in total heaven. Having spent a few formative years in Baltimore, I've always loved crab and lobster. I'm a big seafood girl.

Biggest, best cannoli of my life- and this one came in praline caramel.

* Since last week was crazy because of the Hurricane, and the subsequent days have been equally crazy dealing with recovery, blogging has taken kind of a backseat lately. Luckily where we live was hardly affected at all, and we've had water, heat, and power the whole time. We've been donating and volunteering as much as we can to help those who were affected though, and the hard thing is there are a lot of people who really lost everything and are going to continue to need help. The shelters near us need volunteers, and many neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Queens need help cleaning and rebuilding. So my next few posts are going to be kind of old/ out of date photos I hadn't gotten around to posting yet, but now they can serve as fortuitous filler while we spend this week concentrating on balancing school, work, volunteering, and having two guests with us. *
