This skirt flaps around too much if I bike in it, wrinkles way too much if I sit in it, and shows too much if I wear it up at my waist- but I still love it and find myself wanting to wear it quite frequently. It usually leads to a lot more standing up and an avoidance of sitting at all unless it is absolutely necessary, to avoid it becoming a completely wrinkled mess- but something about the combination of the simple little suspenders, the pleats, and the unassuming bow have me hooked. It's also one of the only skirts I wear down at my hips instead of my waist, and the elongation it creates always throws me off when I see a reflection- but what better country than Japan to embrace the long, less defined silhouette?

  1. I was gonna say this is such perfect Japanese style, the silhouette and everything! You're certainly adapting ;-) Also, gah your cardigan is the best!!
