Over the weekend we visited one of my very favourite places in Japan- Enoshima. It is a small coastal town south of Tokyo with a little island you can walk to on a long bridge over the shore. The island is one of the most picturesque places I have ever been. It is lush and green and covered in vegetation, it has super old buildings, gates, and temples, and narrow, and crooked and winding walkways. The coastlines along the island are breathtaking. Everything feels so peaceful and quiet and there is so much nature to enjoy. Last time we were here, we were too late to tour the sea caves, so we came early in the day to make sure we could go this time.

They give you little candlelit lantern to take with you through the caves, where there are little winding passageways, low ceilings, and some old old statues. It was magical!
