I will wear this 'til it disappears
Do you ever have that one item of clothing you will never get rid of, no matter how long it's been? I found this shirt for 30 cents in a thrift store in 8th grade...and I still love it to death. It's so old- I mean it was already secondhand with holes in it that I had to patch up....now it's practically falling apart, and I don't even know if the faded sandy hue is the original colour, but I still love wearing it. It reminds me of Ohio, and my great friends there, it reminds me of who I was then, and what I've grown to be. It has the old storybook illustration from Winnie the Pooh on it(!), with my favorite blend of muted tones. I will never outgrow it...which is funny because the story is all about childhood and growing up...and I got it in the little boys' section. let's toast to favorite scrappy bits of clothing.

ReplyDeleteSo cute! I have clothes I can't let go of, but what is worse I don't wear them because I am afraid of them falling apart - makes no sense.
ReplyDeleteI love a good shirt with a story behind it! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet t-shirt! I have a few things like that but I just can't let myself to wear them, it'd break my heart if they brake or anything bad happens to them, so many memories I want to keep while keeping them...

That shirt is so one of a kind!
ReplyDeletealso! If you don't already have one, you should get a camera remote, so you can just keep snapping after you get your manual focus set right!

That's so cute! I love that you've kept that shirt for so long because you love it! I do that too! And if it ever gets too ratty or ripped, you could always turn it into a pillow or pull it over canvas and make it into art!

That shirt is absolutely adorable! And even if it does fall to pieces one day, at least its preserved forever in photos.
