Our First and Dear Apartment:

Whew. We spent all day packing up all the little things on our shelves and making my suitcase collection more utilitarian by stuffing accessories, knick knacks, and kitchen wares into them to bust. With all our wall decorations down and shelves empty the place looks so much smaller and feels less like home.

Most people say that you'll never forget your first apartment as a married couple, and I get the impression that this is generally for bad reasons rather than good ones, but we have been really lucky to be hanging out here this past year. I love it, I'll miss it, and I know there's no way we can afford anything like it in New York. It's been so charming! the building has been around since the 1920's, so there are brick walls and wood floors and antique cabinets. All the rooms were painted kind of gaudy colours when we moved in, but we were too busy to change it, so we worked around it, and it's certainly grown on us.

ok, getting curious? getting bored? here are some snapshots of our great apartment pre- pack-up:

More to come, stay tuned!

  1. Awww, what a cute place! I love your floral couch. We have some pillows on our couch in similar colors...greens and blues are so relaxing in a home.
