Okay. So now we're on to day three. I am getting way way behind in posting our trip pictures- see, we have a DSLR an iphone and a film camera and it' been quite the process sorting through them all.
After that awful stay in that hellishly overpriced hotel, and the afternoon in the city had drawn to a close, we decided to stay in a Best Western 40 minutes south to lessen our trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium in the morning. I have this compulsion on trips to unpack all my clothes in any hotel we stay in and hang them up in the closet, and since the last hotel didn't accommodate, Ryan made fun of me as I feverishly unzipped the suitcase and hung up my dresses as soon as we got into our new room.

It was still quite a drive to the aquarium, so we didn't get there until the afternoon, but it was still so fun and a lovely day by the coast.

I sincerely hope people get this reference- otherwise I look mildly insane.
The Aquarium was fun with lots of pretty pretty exhibits! I took way more videos than pictures, so those, which take a lot of time, will come later.
By the aquarium we found a magical place called Candy World, where you get a little woven basket and fill it with individual candies and pay by the pound. SO fun! we got an amazing assortment of salter water taffies, including guava, passionfruit, chocolate chip cookie, and mocha!
UH HUH

Cool photos of the aquarium and Candy World! My husband and I visited that candy shop, too, after we went to the Monterey aquarium a couple years ago...now I want some salt water taffy! That place had the best selection. Oh, and in response to your question about where I live: Pasadena, near Los Angeles. I visit a lot of different thrift stores because, well, there are a lot of them around with the large population in this area.
