striped chartreuse
dress: vintage
hat: thrifted
loafers: thrifted
This picnic happened a long time ago. like in April. We took half the pictures on slide film and half on our DSLR, so I wanted to wait for the film to get developed, but I'm still waiting for good photo ops to use up the remaining frames, and it's been kind of a grueling couple of days, so it was nice to just use these pictures which were already up on flickr.
Ryan made a bet with me- I don't even remember what about, but he asked me what I wanted to win if he lost, and I said anemones- they're my favourite favourite flower, and my wedding bouquet, which was supposed to be full of them was kind of a fiasco....*flaaashbaaaack* the morning before our wedding, I got a call from the lady at the Flower Basket, where my mom thought she found the best floral arrangement deal, which sadly turned out to be grossly untrue....okay first of all, the lady I had planned everything with had apparently left the job, and now some other girl was calling to tell me the anemones I ordered arrived and were the last of the season so they were all tiny, green, and wilted. they told me they could replace them with gerber daisies, the one flower I explicitly and adamantly stressed I did. not. want anywhere near my wedding. the only solutions they would come up with were to make gerber daisy arrangements instead, or use silk anemones for everything, and they would not budge on a refund option. I don't know is there is really a moral to this story, but the demons are certainly coming back as I type this...so maybe forgiving and forgetting might be a key here....
*baaack to the presseeent* so, I won the bet, and a couple days after graduation Ryan got me this lovely bouquet. they looked SO much better than my wedding bouquet, and I wish they could have lasted all month
