I've been at school all today, so it's been hard to keep up on the exact status of the situation at the moment, but Sendai is suffering big time right now and Japan needs all the help they can get. I can't even imagine how terrifying it must be to be over there right now. A huge earthquake is scary, damaging, and dangerous enough, but the fact that the aftermath and upheaval of the earthquake made it incredibly difficult and probably impossible for some people to evacuate and get away from the oncoming tsunami is so devastating. All phones are down so people have no way to tell if loved ones are alright.
redcross.org has some updates on the disaster and has announced plans to help. You can donate through their website to aid relief in Japan. Also, if you're into praying, I'm sure a whole lot of people could use the comfort, peace, and support in a time like this. and praying for aid to be made possible couldn't hurt either.
