Goblin Valley
sorry for the sporadic posting- it's 'cause I've been goin all over the state, trying to get my fill of utah's amazing scenery before it's too late. I've had a few trips with family and some little ones with friends....it makes regular blogging difficult, but I'd rather be camping and hiking and exploring and saoking in prettiness anyway, so sue me. oh my word do I love southern utah. the desert is near and dear to my heart- the scenery is very special to me, and reminds me of a lot of family trips and where I spent some developmental years. goblin valley is one of my favourite scapes around here. It's so otherworldy- I love how many places in Utah and Arizona feel like a different planet. I really wanted to wear a space helmet for photos but turns out they're not so easy to find. maybe next time. want to hear something really sad though? the night before we had camped near a really pretty canyon, and we went night hiking to the light of the moon into its narrows. the scenery was amazing, the stars looked so cool up through the slit in the canyon, and we took some really pretty photos, but I somehow deleted the whole card the next morning. there were also some nice photos of the amazing sunset against some cliffs the previous evening too. gah.

ReplyDeleteI'm so sad we missed out on the sky photos! When I went to the grand canyon, I was so excited to see the Arizona stars, but it was cloudy every night.
