January 11th
Been soaking up time with family and feeling 'home' for a while. Revisiting old haunts with loved ones, exploring nooks and crannies, watching the mountains as I drive, and spending afternoons up the canyon. Loving the snow on the ground and trees and always crossing my fingers for a fresh layer in the morning. Finally revived my camera again with the help of a friend with an extra charger. Hoping to stick with a resolution to shoot on more film this year, even if it means taking a crappy job to be able to afford it. I want to push myself to take more than just 'blog photos'....I've felt very stuck in a rut this year. I need to push myself and make something more of my photographs and step out of my comfort zone.

Oh you look lovely in these pictures! And your pretty hair, is it hard to up keep?
ReplyDeleteWell, despite you feeling in a rut, I went though your blog archive for this year (or most of it at least) and it really pumped me up and inspired me! I just thought I'd let you know <3 Your blog is wonderful, and your photos make me want to travel!
ReplyDeleteOh Kathryn dear, I love you so. Miss you something fierce.
ReplyDeleteThe lighting in the fifth photo is unreal!! Utterly cinematic and so moody...
ReplyDeleteI love that velvet dress! I'm usually not really a fan of velvet, but I think brown is one of the only colors of velvet I would wear it in. You look so pretty!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous. I know what you mean about being stuck in a rut, and it feels so wonderful once you DO break out of that comfort zone.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that dress is amazing! I wish I had a brown velvet dress in my life. And that cape is wonderful!
