On the fourth of July we spent the first half of the day in Solvang, a cut little Danish- settled town north of Santa Barbara. It's the cutest. I kind of felt like I was in disneyland. The whole downtown is pretty consistently styled with traditional architecture, so tons of cute windows, shutters, roofs, and windmills. We walked around and tried a lot of sweets- Ryan and I both have Danish heritage so we were taking note of all the recipes we need to look up and we're dreaming up a trip to real Denmark someday.

Then we headed down to Santa Barbara for sunset and fireworks, which were on the beach so I thought it best not to risk my camera. My phone still had enough juice to snap some quick beach photos, but it puttered out before the firework show, which was pretty incredible. The shot them pretty much straight over our heads, so they looked huuuuge.
