more cabin kitsch
Here are some more scenes from my grandparent's cabin in Midway, UT (previous two posts show others). They have a lot of great wall art and hangings all around, and furniture that was picked out in the 70's and never ousted. Just check out that (green? yellow? puke?orange?) indiscernible shag carpet lining the stairs. classic.
We spent one day out exploring and another day just lounging about inside. I admittedly didn't explore in this skirt, but I wanted to photograph it in a memorable location, since it's a lovely new acquisition- a gift from 'santa' for christmas.....ok I found it and picked it out, then passed it on to the official gift wrapper, my sister. It has a perfectly fitted waist and two deep pockets and I love how much it flares. The wool is also thick and very nice. Boy was I was in thrifting heaven back home! I could never have found a gem like this skirt for 8 bucks in New York. serious score:)
outfit details:

ReplyDeleteYour grandparents' house is proof that everything old is new again. Those vintage signs are too cool and I wish I had them in my house. Your vintage-inspired outfit works absolutely perfectly in that setting (and beyond:).
