Family Traditions

DSC_0401

Every year at my Grandma Bagley's house we get together for a Christmas evening party, consisting of lots of family visiting, treats, and music. She has this set of chimes that are well older than I am, and that are part of my earliest Christmas memories. Everyone grabs a note and then we follow the charts Grandma made to play Christmas songs. It's always so fun to get everyone all gathered around the tree to create a song together, each with our own individual notes. For some of the cousins much younger than us it was their first time, and it was fun to see them excited and concentrating.

  4. Fabulous!!! What absolute fun!!!
My grandfather is a Lutheran minister, and usually delivers a 'message' at christmas family gatherings. Then we sing some carols before opening presents. It's so lovely to have that musical element in there.
A very merry christmas to you!
