I'm so excited for hat weather and cozy knits...and this is probably my favorite hat of all time. It's getting chilly enough to dress like this now, but the subway is still hellishly hot and stuffy, so it makes it hard to go out and about and dress consistently. come on now autumn.

Our local green market is now selling pumpkins and we are so excited! I've already started cooking with pumpkin, but I have two more to cook and puree and then I'll have a freezer full of fresh pumpkin at my disposal for any festive autumn recipe I could desire. yeessss. also, one booth sells tons of baby succulents and every time we go I want to buy all of them and fill our windowsill. Ryan made a deal with me that for every job interview I get, we can buy one baby succulent. so here's the product of the one job interview I've gotten...that went nowhere.

Ryan and I just realized we haven't even thought about halloween costumes yet! I usually like to put a lot of thought into my costumes, but this year everything is so busy and we have to stay so frugal, I'm not sure what to do! What are you planning on for Halloween if you celebrate it?

I JUST wrote a post about halloween costume ideas and one of my ideas was to take an animal hat (like the one you're wearing) and turn it into a full costume! hahaha what a coincidence
