Pennsylvania!

I am quite behind on posting again. These are a week old. But HEY that hurricane slowed us down! the point is we had a nice weekend getaway at some point, and there are pictures and stories to be had. riiiight?

Ok, first off, I saw the most incredible spider web I have ever ever seen right outside Ryan's Aunt and Uncle's house. We stayed at their house in Nazareth, PA for a night and enjoyed family company and gorgeous, lush, green, misty countryside views. I think this dew covered spiderweb was my favourite part. It looked like a huge, delicate, detailed piece of jewelry.

such a gorgeous piece of art! I seriously spent an hour or more photographing and filming it and exclaiming how amazingly intricate and beautiful it was, and then Ryan was nice enough to volunteer snapping some outfit shots for me with the natural wonder.
Later that morning we went to a castle! A castle made of concrete and built at the turn of the century by the local tile/ ceramics tycoon, Henry Mercer. He collected and made his own tiles and became so obsessed he lined the whole belly of his castle with them. The castle is a museum now and holds tours.

(Ryan's cousin Noah. they are peas in a pod)

  2. I'm not a big fan of spiders but I have to admit this web is a work of art. It looks like a strings of interwoven pearls with all the lovely raindrops. I love your dress too... I always sigh a little though when I see a pretty dress and then discover it's been thrifted and I can't have it too :)
