Sorry it's been a while! I've been incredibly busy with grading all my student's papers and finals, and I came down with a nasty cold/ sinus infection/ sore throats from staying up until three several nights in a row.

Here are my outfits posts for the Convocation graduation day. It was a beautiful clear sunny spring day and the blossoms were out everywhere. SO pretty! Spring is infinitely more rewarding here than any other place I've lived.

I wanted a white lace dress for graduation really badly, and I looked and looked for ages all over the place for the perfect, and affordable, white dress. I found this one on etsy and fell in love with the scalloped lace and cream colour. Unfortunately it has really thin straps and the bodice sits really low on me so I can't wear it alone, so I spent all morning trying to figure out which cardigan wouldn't take away too much from the dress's details. I tried layering a sheer white lace top over it, but I felt like I looked like I was trying too hard to look like a victorian tea party guest. I settled on classic black and white- so although I wasn't wearing the all white delicate look I wanted, I at least had the white lace and scalloped bottom as the focus. (It was also freezing that day, so I really did need a sweater)

dress: vintage (etsy)
tights: U.O.
shoes: ?
cardigan: gadzooks
belt: thrifted.

also WHOOOAAA this pictures are big. sorry! I pasted the wrong size code and really don't feel like redoing everything. Okay they're fixed now!

  2. The dress is GORGEOUS!!! (Ok, I typed that and then looked up to see the 3 other comments ahead of me used the same adjective as well. I was going to change it, as to not sound like a copy-cat..but then again, I think it's just great minds thinking alike.) ;o)
