Laundry again/ I want glasses

yeah, okay, so it's another laundry themed post. that's gonna happen about twice a weekish.

Today we had lunch with Ryan's mom and sister, and took a trip to costco to fix Ryan's glasses. That got me thinking, for the past couple months I feel like I'm straining to read things like road signs and occasionally a book or the computer screen. It isn't super bad, I can see pretty well, but it gives me a headache and I feel like I'm trying extra hard to see details. Hm. I wonder if I need glasses? I don't think we can afford an eye doctor appointment so it's probably just something I'll ignore unless it gets worse...I have no idea how glasses would work for me. I've never needed them before and I can see myself being extremely picky about what glasses do to my face and what features they accentuate...I have an urge to start shopping around just in case I DO need them and I want to absolutely love whatever has to be attached to my face for the next long while.

How have you guys found glasses you love?

  1. Usually the person there will ask you which ones you like in the case. You'll try them on and he'll make recommendations that are similar in style to the one you like. They're always very helpful and make good recommendations.

Great pictures, by the way! And, whoa (!!) a fox!! I'm loving the lighter colors. It reminds me of what's coming up, namely spring.

  3. Ugh, glasses. As someone who first got glasses when she was 8 years old, I have a love/hate relationship with glasses. That's why I pretty much only wear contacts. It took me a long time to finally figure out what shape of glasses looked best with my face. Take someone who's style opinion you trust and also ask the attendant. The worst is being stuck with an ugly pair of glasses.

  5. i've bought a couple pairs of glasses on zennioptical.com. they are super cheap and consequentially not the BEST quality, but i have loved the ones i have got from them. for $10-$30 per pair, you can afford to have a couple pair to rotate through. (mine from the doctor's cost $200+ and when i chopped my hair, i didn't like them anymore).

    love your outfit
