So, still catching up on posts from July. After Big Sur, we headed up to Santa Cruz to spend Saturday on the historic boardwalk. so.much.fun. It was hella crowded though, but I guess that's what we get for going out on fourth of july weekend. The boardwalk has arcades, rides, food and game booths, and an old fashioned taffy shop. We spent the whole day soaking it all in- enjoying excellent saltwater taffy, corn dogs, and cotton candy, chilling on the beach, and enjoying the rides. our favourites were the historic big dipper roller coaster and the old carousel with the ring toss game incorporated. I wish so badly coney island had kept the same charm and nostalgic feel as this place. It's so far from home!

There’s something about pier/fair shoots that I just love! The lights, colors, crowds and candy make for such a wonderfully chaotic backdrop. And your yellow striped dress fits the scene perfectly. Man would I like to get my hands on a vintage piece like that!
