Bodie
While we were visiting our friends' cabin near Yosemite, we ventured out to Bodie, a famous ghost town nearby. It was astonishingly well preserved, and a little more museum-like than any other ghost town I've visited, but it was a really fun place to explore. There were tons of buildings still intact, some with al the original contents still inside! The place was heavily patrolled by state park rangers, which kind of ruined the abandoned feel, but I guess that's was keeps the stuff safe, so can't complain there.

ReplyDeleteWyoming has an abundance of well preserved sites like this one. My favorite as a little girl was always Fort Laramie. My grandparents would take me there all the time. I love these photos, as always. Your dress, scarf and hat are so cute!

In my experience 1) word of mouth 2) alternatively google or look up in books or 3) you stumble across 'em.

ReplyDeleteThis place is so cool! These pictures turned out so summery and neat. You always find the best places to take pictures. I love how your outfit looks paired with this scenery too. The bandanna and straw hat are just perfect with your pretty white dress.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are so magical. I want to go to there. I moved to California about a year ago, and your photos always inspire me to just drive and explore. Gorgeous as always.
