lone pine meadow
So it's been a good two weeks or more since I visited my family's cabin with my parents and sisters, but things got so crazy with planning for the move to LA, and then the fourth of July, and roadtrips for the long weekend, and just generally settling in, that I'm just getting around to editing and posting from this trip back in Utah. There's several more batches- this is one of my most favourite places ever, and I've long since given up on trying to post photos at the same time they were taken. life is too crazy. So here's the second glimpse of my time spent at this lovely place, and rest assured it won't be the last.
It's been a long time since I've visited this area in June. I couldn't believe how green everything was- it's usually pretty dry. Being out in the meadow at dusk is a regular favourite of mine, but with the unusual verdantness it was even more stunning. We even saw a huge heard of elk later in the evening ( like, 48 of them) but my camera had already died. it was pretty amazing. They're huge and have such a pretty colouring. The antlered ones looked so awesome.
Love, from Lone Pine,
Kathryn

I love this field. I remember it from a few other posts of yours. And this dress.....amazing.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely, lovely dress. The field makes me a bit jealous too, I could use a cabin to escape the city heat this summer...
