I forgot!
I DID have some photos tucked away for a post. There are some more from my cabin trip. This was the night we had a campfire and roasted fruits and veggies and marshmallows. We had some long exposure fun. My sister Becca and I did some light painting for a while with some flashlights, and then we played with multi exposing one person. I can never get enough. My friends and I used to do this with our cell phone in high school and it just never gets old.
I love being out here at night. The stars are so amazing, and when there's a full moon everything is bathed in this surprisingly well-illuminated glow. I love how very still it all feels. Then later into the night, all the animals come out to remind you just how many things you're sharing this place with. High squeaky elk cries, throaty haunting owl calls, and yelping coyotes. My dad and I like listening to the Sons of the Pioneers version of Blue Shadows play softly as the fire dies down and night sinks in. And it never fails to make me tear up.

ReplyDeleteWow! I'm impressed at how you were able to use the sparklers to do all that, and the eerie photography experiments are just great.
ReplyDeleteWow, these long exposures are so fun and creative! My favorite is the one of your face repeating itself about 10 times... so trippy but awesome!! It's always wonderful to enjoy the stars and a full moon.
