americana nirvana
Whew! That was an unexpectedly long hiatus, but I'm back, I hope. A lot of things have been going on and I'm just trying to keep up with it all. I was picked as a style icon for Chictopia last month, and I totally spaced on celebrating or mentioning it. Thanks guys- sorry:/ Better late than never! I was given the option of picking an item from their shop, and I'm still trying to narrow it down, but will post that soon. I was also asked to make a video promoting cotton (the fabric...) so I've been spending a lot of time on that project, as well as taking two big roadtrips over the last week.
Life hasn't been exactly what you'd call relaxing lately, so I'm hoping to take this week and weekend to just chill and soak in LA some more. Time is flying by and I'm sure we'll have to leave before I feel like I've really gotten to know this city. I'm really a country mouse at heart though, so if I had my way we'd be out in the middle of nowhere every weekend- and this state has a lot of amazing nowhere land. I'm in heaven.

Oh wow, what a busy month for you! Congratulations on being the style icon! That's amazing, and you deserve it! I hope you get some time to relax soon, though; it can be tough to be so busy. I LOVE your dinosaur-theme posts, they make me smile. And this little place looks so quirky!

Is that yellow thing behind you a house? I hope so, because it looks kind of like a pineapple! Also, congrats on being the chicopia style icon!

One of the very best things about living in any city on the California coast is that you can be in the desert, in the forest, my the sea or in the middle of nowhere really any time you want. I'm certain I'll never live anywhere else.
ReplyDeleteWow this looks so fun, I'm planning a trip to California next (yes I only came back from my holidays and am feeling blue) and this is the kind of things I hope to encounter. I have major shorts envy by the way.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the Chictopia feature :)
