in the cherry trees
These photos were taken a while ago during my last week in New York, when Central Park was a blossomy wonderland. It was such a gorgeous day- I wish I could travel back right now! I've had this dress for quite some time, but I've never worn it with a petticoat underneath, and it's a whole new world. such good poofiness. I'm quite pleased with how well my dressed matched the blossoms too. Apparently so was everyone else- there was a crowd taking pictures of me the whole time we were there and only one person asked me if it was okay. Oh, New York. I'm not really missing your lack of privacy.

this dress is adorable! and the photos are wonderful :)
ReplyDeleteI love your dress and the pictures are so beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, if someone was taking my picture without my permission in the park and I caught them I would probably flip out. Legit. One time I took a picture of a girl planking, realized it was a blogger I read and sent it to her and apologized haha.
This dress is fantastic! So lovely! And what a perfect location to take the photos of it...
ReplyDeleteOh! I adore your dress with the blouse! You look wonderful up in the tree, I can see why they wanted a picture of you :) but they should have asked first!!!

ReplyDeleteOh my...these are beautiful! I love love LOVE that dress. You always find the best vintage stuff! Where do you shop?!
ReplyDeleteOh some of my favorite things happening here--Central park, cherry blossoms, pink, gingham and petticoats. This is one of my faves of yours for sure!
ReplyDeleteThe dress is so amazing..
ReplyDeleteLOVE the cut of the dress, especially the bodice.
ReplyDeletePetticoats do just really change up a dress, don't they?
ReplyDeleteActually, I'm not sure what I love the most about all of this- your dress, how successfully you made it into a pinafore, your purse (though we only see it a few times), or the enchanting tree climbing photos. The photos look so gorgeous and almost fairytale-like.
Amazing outfit!
ReplyDeleteSo adorable, I want it!

OH MY GOODNESS! The photos of you up in the tree!!!! These are really really pretty. Cherry blossoms are really the best. My neighbor has a cherry blossom tree and I always take at least one photo of it each year because it is just so darn pretty.

Your dress is so pretty. I think I like it even better because of the collared shirt underneath. They just compliment each other so well!
ReplyDeleteIf living in NYC has taught me anything, it's that if you are taking pictures, they either give you the stink eye of "ugh, another tourist" or just ignore you completely. Or I could be entirely misunderstanding.
Oh my goodness. I love this / your whole blog so much. So lovely.

That's so weird that people were taking pictures of you! What is even the point of that? It's probably because you looked so pretty though! I just love these pictures and how perfectly your dress compliments the cherry blossoms.
