Before I left New York, I shot some photos of our family friend Pippa in a Baroque room at the MET. It's taken me a while to get them up and running, but I feel like my motto this entire summer has been Never Late Than Never, so, here we go again. This is one of my favourite areas of the MET because you can actually walk in and through the room, and it has some beautiful natural light filling the space. I kept meaning to shoot some pretty photos here for a long time, and I'm glad I finally squeezed it in before I left for good. You might recognize Pippa from the spring blossoms shoot I did last year with two of her friends as well. Isn't she such a natural? Real model material for sure. She made it so easy. I'm really going to miss being able to shoot her whenever I feel like, since she was ALWAYS up for photo projects.

A friend of mine commented when I posted some of these on instagram that Pippa looked like a friendly little ghost that haunted the Museum, and I loved that image so much, I'm totally embracing it as a theme of the pieces as a whole. I originally was just going for a more classic, historic, romantic look, and just happened to find this adorable child's vintage dress in a thrift store and it seemed to fit the location (and Pippa) quite well. But I love adding a more haunting and ethereal quality to the experience of these photos, so from now on, I'm fine with her being a cute little French spirit who visits the replica halls when no one is watching.
